Reed Events has proudly partnered with RMIT for more than 30 years, providing professional graduation photography for students and their families and helping capture the special moments of their graduation day.
The RMIT Melbourne Graduation Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 16 December 2026, at 3.00 pm at Docklands, Melbourne. Students will collect their academic dress during the gown and ticket collection days, which will be held a few days prior to the ceremony.
Students can download the free ‘Reed Events’ app (via the Apple Store or Google Play Store) to view and purchase your graduation photos.

A Portrait Session is the time you spend with our professional photographer. Your photographer will take a range of different shots and poses of the graduate by themselves as well as extra shots with family and friends.
Reeds Events will be available at the gown and ticket collection days located at Marvel Stadium, Gate 5, Level 1.
Portrait Sessions are available on gown and ticket collection days and bookings are strongly recommended but not mandatory.

Portrait Sessions are available on 'Gown and Ticket Collection Days'
- Tuesday 8 December – 9am - 7pm
- Wednesday 9 December – 9am - 7pm
- Thursday 10 December – 9am - 7pm
There is no portrait sessions available on Friday the 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday the 13th of December 2026.
Late collection days:
Monday 14 December - 9am - 6pm
Tuesday 15 December - 9am - 6pm
Please note: Portrait Sessions are NOT available on the main Graduation day.
Yes there is a sitting of $30, however, for students that pre-book their photography online, there is a saving of $10.
No, there will be no photography services operating on Friday 11 December or the weekend.
Yes, there will be queues due to the large number of graduates. Wait times for portrait sessions may vary, particularly around lunchtime and close to the end of the day.
Graduates are encouraged to wear attire suitable for a formal graduation portrait. Academic dress can be collected during the gown and ticket collection days and can be worn for your portrait session. Please allow sufficient time to collect your academic dress before having your photographs taken.

No, you are not required to book this photo as our photographers will be located at each individual stage to take a photo of each graduate. You will be able to purchase the stage photo for $45 after the ceremony. You will be notified once your stage image is available to view and purchase.
The 'Reed Events' App is your place to find your graduation Portrait Session photos AND be notified when your Stage Image is ready to view! Ensure to download the app via the Apple Store or the Google Play Store (Free to download)
To view and order your portrait photo proofs, you can do this via 2 ways:
Via the ‘Reed Events’ app: Download the 'Reed Events' App (Available on the App Store and Google Play Store). Once downloaded, select your university. From here you can use the 'Picture of you' feature, here you will upload/take a picture of yourself to find your ceremony photos. (This option will also find your stage image and any candid images you were a part of). Alternatively, you can scroll down to 'Quick Links' and type in your 'G reference code'
Via the Reed Events website: Please reference your code starting with ‘G’ to view the images through the “View/Order Portrait Images” button on our website. Once the proofs are available you can start ordering, however please note, it could be up to 5 business days later for purchased digital images to be available to download.
Note: Either method you choose, once you can view your images, select ‘View Details’ to see the purchase options.
To download your digital pack, follow the steps below:
- Go to our website and login to your account.
- Then click 'My Account' in the top right corner and then 'My Orders' from the dropdown menu.
- On the order summary page, click the 'download' button next to the relevant order.
- From this link you will be able to save the images to your computer. The images can be downloaded multiple times, if necessary.
Please note: Pre-booked orders and orders placed shortly after graduation: Your digital image files will be available to download from "My Account" within 48 hours after your graduation.

- To view and purchase your stage photo online, follow the steps below:
- Visit rmit.reedgraduations.com.au.
- Click on ‘View/Order Stage Images’.
- Select the date and time of your ceremony. Click GO.
- This will show everyone who crossed the stage. Select your image and then your preferred format (print/digital, etc.)
- Click ‘add to cart’ and follow the prompts to checkout.
Reed Events are dedicated to providing only the absolute highest level of quality. Your printed images will be thoughtfully re-touched, carefully packaged and delivered to your door or post office approximately 4 weeks after ordering. Digital images are available online shortly after you place your order Framed images can take up to 6 weeks due to the nature of creating custom frames.
Yes there will be a postage fee and fee will range on the item/package that has been purchased. Digital items do not attract a postage fee.
